Oh hey, sis!

It’s so good to see you bb! Let me introduce myself…I’m Corey Manteiga Desjardins (he/him/they/them).

Born and raised in Andover, MA, I made my way to NYC where I attended NYU to make sure I was well in debt before starting adulthood. I now reside in Jersey City with my husband, Daniel, and our rescue dog, Roxette.

While the rumors are true that I’ve spent decades of my life training in singing, acting, and dancing - I’ve also spent years of my life loving my weird queer self and helping others do the same. I also watch far too much reality television and own far too many pairs of shoes.

In 2012 I made my Off-Broadway debut in “Independents” at Soho Playhouse, followed by several Off-Broadway performances with Musicals Tonight! where I also served as Associate Director. I have performed at numerous notable venues including 54 Below, New World Stages, The Bell House, as well as the Post Office Cabaret in Provincetown.

Developing a passion for #QueerAF theatre, I have developed two solo shows at The Duplex: Weird Gay Alto & Weird Gay Christmas, which played to sold out audiences. Most recently, I won Provincetown’s longest-running variety show “Showgirls!” at the legendary Crown and Anchor, and have appeared in several shows with Ryan Landry’s Gold Dust Orphans playing characters ranging from women to aliens - and everything in between.
